An impressive 3 points picked up on the road against Chiefs in the 'Wack' on Saturday night. Debutant David Mazurek(it says on BCHL site Jackman, but, I'm sure its Mazurek), Gerry Fitzgerald and Mr. Consistent, DJ.Jones all chipped in with two points with Nicholishen chipping in to score his first goal as a Grizzlie.
A nice performance in goal as Michael Stiliadis stopped 37 of 39 shots to build on his nice start in the BCHL. Credit to Chiefs goalie Gillam who stopped 38 on 41 shots as well.
A good road victory from a Grizzlies team who seem to gelling nicely and competing for three periods of hockey. The goals seem to flowing, the defence has been quite stingy and the Rouleau/Stiliadis combo has been solid. Even without the suspended Coachman(8 games), Powell(3 games) and Jaden Schmeisser this Grizzlies team continues to battle.
The Grizzlies will be looking to take 4 points out of 6 as they wrap up the road trip in Coquitlam this afternoon.
