Victoria Grizzlies v's Alberni Valley Bulldogs @ Bear Mountain Arena, 1:30pm, Oct 14th

Despite a tough 5-0 loss at home to the Clippers last night, the Bulldogs are still tied with your Grizzlies for top spot in the Island Division. Although the Grizzlies have a game in hand, this afternoon's game is a perfect chance to make that game count by taking both points at home against the Dogs.
In what some around the league have said, that Alberni are punching above their weight class right now, Head Coach Kevin Willson has a nice blend of returning players, youth and a few nice additions for the 2012/13 season
The Dogs seem to have no problem scoring, it's just keeping the puck out of the net so far this season.
With players like Hepso, Lough Craft and Tironese, it should be a challenge for the Grizz rear guard to keep these inform forwards at bay for three periods..
With three quality younger defenseman in Poppoff, Wilson and Gosselin the Bulldogs should be a have something  to build from at the back and goalie Jay Deo, is a capable Jnr A goalie.

This should be a great opportunity for the Grizzlies to capitalise on their good start to the season and coming off that excellent win against the Vees, taking that energy and enthusiasm into today's game shouldn't be an issue.
Fridays game was simply fantastic. End to end action for three periods right through to double OT, was a treat for Grizz, Vees and neutral fans alike.
I haven't seen that quality and effort in a Grizzlies team since the 06/07 Rylan Ferster led Grizzlies.

Attracting over 1300 fans with a Royals game, Rugby Union International tourney at Westhills Stadium and the baseball playoffs, is a credit to the sale and marketing team with family night being a big success. But, the product on the ice, is well worth coming out to see.

So, thirsting for more see you at 1:30pm to cheers on your Victoria Grizzlies!!!!

The Grizzlies lead the season series 1-0 thanks to that OT victory over the Dogs at the Showcase.
