Our usual group of very loud Grizzlies travelling fans were at the game in Surrey this evening. Things did not go as well for the Grizz as they could have despite our outshooting the Eagles about 40 to 23! The Surrey goalie Edward Dyson was outstanding and was awarded the game's first star. And he deserved it! Our Grizz pummeled him unmercifully but could only get 2 past him! Once again our awesome threesome, the Fitzgerald triplets came through for our team and they were the ones who beat Dyson for both our goals! As you know Bill Bestwick had been suspended after the fighting at the end of the game in Cowichan. So Craig Didmon
After the game I talked to several of the Surrey fans and they concurred with our Grizzlies fans that the game had been extermely thrilling and well played by both teams!
I'll get the pictures of this game up tomorrow after breakfast.
And tomorrow night it's on to Chilliwack. And Myles Powell will be playing, and Bill Bestwick will be coaching and Craig Didmon will be nursing a sore shoulder! Go Grizz Go!!!
