Most of the BCHL teams have been in action last night or will be tonight, except the Grizzlies.
This means as far as games played, the black and gold for most of the year have played 4 to 5 more games then the rest of the division. Most of the teams should have played as many games as Victoria, after these two days. However, after Weds and Thursday night, the Grizzlies will be in 6th place with the potential of being 3 to 5 points behind 4th and 5th place Nanaimo and Coquitlam.
So this means, we kinda have to beat Alberni tomorrow night(Friday) to stay on there heels and keep pace.
Hopefully the Grizzlies will have Myron, Lawson, Tucker and Walchuk fit again with just Pernerowski(I'm told) still on the DL at this time.
With the Grizzlies a game under the .500 mark it's time to put a good run together and hopefully be in the last four in the Coastal Conference.
Our Opponents on Friday, Alberni, will also hopefully be looking to try and get there season going. They are currently in last place in the Coastal and under new Coach Kevin Willison. Alberni, snipers Morello, ex Grizz Nowarkowski along with the focused goaltending of Max Fenkell, will ensure the Grizzlies aren't in for an easy night of it.
The Grizzlies have played the Bulldogs three times this season; with the Grizzlies ahead 2 games to 1 in the series at this stage in the season!!!!
Now remember it's pirate night and bring your noisemakers as we cheer the Grizzlies onto victory on homes ice:
