For the second game in a row, OT heroics would seal the points for the black and gold. The Grizzlies, where really put to the test throughout this contest and credit the Bulldogs, who where playing there third game in three nights put in a great effort.
Michael Stiliadis, came up big for the home side stopping a number of Bulldog chances in the first two periods, but, was powerless to stop the Dogs going 2-0 ahead through two periods thanks to forwards Ryan Lough and a great unassisted effort from Chris Tracy.
The third period would see the Grizzlies start to get more of a grip on the game with the Fitzgerald's putting some nice shifts together and some great support via Jones and DeJong from the back offensively. Myles Fitzgerald, would start the comeback with a goal 3 minutes into the third period and the crowd would come to their feet as Leo, would score from a nice cross ice pass on the PP tying it up with 5 minutes to go in the period, sending it into the OT.
In the first minute, Myles Powell would keep his good start to the season going scoring a key goal 4 on 4, with helpers from Gerry and DJ for a successful weekend and 4 points.
Sorry for the limited game report, work commitments and technology where against me this week.
We'll have a look at the Trail game tomorrow and a look at the progress on Grizzlies from yesteryear as well.
