Hockey's Hockey, and with the lockout no closer to a solution, Jamie Benn is on his way to the German, Port city of Hamburg to join the DEL team the Hamburg Freezers.
With the German league an attractive prospect for NHLers at this stage, with leagues like the Swedish Elite League insisting that if you sign for a team in Sweden, your locked in for the season. If the NHL does start up, it's a must for NHLers to head home without issues.
Benn, joins another ex Grizzlies/Salsa in Matt Pettinger in Hamburg, who signed for Hamberg from Koln for this season.
Where the German League may not quite be up to the same standard as the Swedish Elite or the KHL, it is still a well respected League in the hockey world.
The Freezers have started the season with 3 wins and 3 losses.
