Victoria Grizzlies v's Alberni Valley Bulldogs @ Bear Mtn Arena, 7:15pm, Wednesday, Nov 9th

The Grizzlies welcome the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Wednesday night for their first trip to Bear Mtn Arena this season. These two Island rivals have only played once so far this season in Port Alberni, with the Dogs running out comfortable 6-3 winners.

Victoria, who have had there ups and downs in the last week or so will be looking to continue there decent home form. As mentioned on this blog many times, home victories in your own barn with the 'only 4 teams make the playoffs, in each conference is a big reality check.
For the Grizzlies Brad Gehl looks to be putting the scoring part of his game together. Credit to Wade Murphy is on an incredible 14 game point streak. Stefan Gonzales will also make his debut against the Dogs on Wednesday night!!!!!
The Grizzlies have played 5 more games that than Alberni and who are only 3 points behind the Grizz in the standings.

Alberni brings to the 'Bear' very real scoring threats from Justin Morello, ex Grizz favorite Dylan Nowarkowsi(and still is a favorite for many Grizz fans) and quality grinders like Dorias, Berkholtz and Josh Mitchell. Bulldogs Head Coach, Paul 'Pooly' Elsdale's squad will be looking to make up some ground on the rest of the Coastal Conference pack, with a win on Weds night. A part of me wonders how good the dogs could have been if they could have hung on to USHL defectors Casey Bailey, Kenny Morrison and Conner Varley . Food for thought, but, this Bulldogs team is a talented line up none the less.

Grizz Rant-  Wes Myron's Team Canada West played there first game of the World Jnr A tournament tonight going down 2-0 to Team Sweden.
