Westshore/Duncan bid for 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships
The Grizzlies and Caps joining forces??
Well it could happen as a venture pushed forward from parties in the municipalities of the Cowichan Valley area and the Westshore are looking to host the World Junior A championships, in November 2013.
After a great success in Langley last year, an event like this would certainly give both teams and communities a boost as far as this level of hockey goes.
Canada usual fields two teams, Team West which consists of players and coaches from the BCHL, AJHL, SJHL and MJHL; while Team East is made up of the Junior A league in the East of Canada and compete against the likes of Russia, Sweden, Czech, Swiss and Germany.
This could be a great opportunity for fans, players to watch the best players that Junior A has to offer as part of these championships.
