Stefan Gonzales traded to the Oakville Blades for Michael Stiliadis

Fan favorite and 20 yr old defenceman Stefan Gonzales, has been traded to the Oakville Blades of the OJAHL for goalie 18 yr old goaltender Michael Stiliadis.
Gonzales, when he was acquired from Chilliwack, really helped solidify the defence and really brought a sense of leadership to the locker room, after Sean Robertson had been traded.
Gonzales, was an 'A' last season and quickly became a fan favorite including being voted the fans player of the year for the Grizzlies last season.

The team Gonzales has been traded to, the Oakville Blades are one of the powerhouse teams in the OJAHL and regularly compete for the Dudley Hewitt Cup and are always contenders for the RBC cup. However as most trades go, 90% of BCHL players traded back east usually find a trade back to the BCHL.
Gonzales is a well rounded D-man and his pressence on and off the ice will be missed.
In one season with the Grizzlies, Gonzo had played in 54 games, putting up 14 assists for 14 points and 55 PIM

The Grizzlies in return, acquire goalie Michael Stiliadis, an 18 yr old goalie that the current Grizzlies coaching staff are very high on. Stiliadis, from Woodbridge, Ontario had a solid year with the Blades after being acquired from the Georgetown Raiders the year before.
In Rouleau and Stiliadis, the Grizzlies hope to have found there goaltending tandem to bring to take them into the playoffs.
