Preseason - Grizzlies 4-4 Capitals, Aug 24, 2012

A hard fought preseason game, saw both squads of players leaving it all out the ice in the hopes of sticking with their clubs. Cowichan, iced a slightly more experienced line up than Victoria did and took a 3-0 lead going into the second period before Victoria could start to get things going in the points department.
The Caps had Steen Cooper, Muller and Waddington in the line up who looked sharp all night while some of the stand out from the Grizzlies roster where Saanich Braves product Shawn McBride, Major Midget standout in recent seasons Cole Pickup, Cole Golka(SMHL,Notre Dame Argos) and Dan Nachbaur(NAHL, Wenatchee Wild).
Justin Rai, a Richmond Sockeye had some nice stick handling and was also looking to create going forward.
As the Grizzlies did well to come back from 3-0 and 4-3 down, you could see that there was plenty of fire in the eyes of these kids trying to make the team.

All in all a good game, good crowd and wow to see Bill Bestwick behind the Grizzlies bench, a sight to be hold.
