Kade Pilton signs for the Grizzlies

Having had the opportunity to watch 17 year old Kade Pilton play a number of games for the Royals last season, I got a sense of what the Grizzlies where getting from there latest addition.
Pilton, a defenceman who moves the puck well, uses his size and has a good offensive upside, however, still needed a little polish on his defensive game. As a 17 year old playing Major Junior, that was to be expected.
After a trade at the start of this season to the Regina Pats, Pilton finds himself a little closer to home in the BCHL and in Victoria. The Parksville native, had a solid debut for the Grizzlies and his defensive game looks like it's come a long way as he did a great job shutting down the Clippers forwards and looked confident going forward.
Pilton's size and strength is certinaly another bonus to what he brings to the Grizzlies and I would expect to see Kade log a lot of ice time.
Nice to see another Island boy in the line up.

Welcome to the Grizzlies Kade.
