Although his Junior A rights are held by the Grizzlies, power forward Zach McPhee who is a free agent in the WHL, has signed with the Kootenay Ice after this release from the Everett Silvertips.
There was no guarantee he would be coming to Victoria in the first place, but, needless to say he won't be in a black and gold uniform any time soon.
