Your 2011/12 Grizzlies Goaltending tandem

As reported in the local media, the Grizzlies goaltending tandem will go with youth and experiance for the upcoming season. Veteren Goalie Jamie Tucker and recent signee from the KIJHL's Revelstoke Grizzlies, Garrett Rockafellow will be between the pipes in the black and gold this season

Jamie Tucker, brings two seasons worth of experiance from the WHL, via the Vancouver Giants and last season with the Prince Albert Raiders. In Jamie's last season of Junior eligability, he gets the chance to show his talents in front of his home town crowd this year.
After watching Jamie play a few seasons ago for the Saanich Braves, he was remembered in the VIJHL as a game winner, who plays with an edge. If you get in Jamie's crease, he's not going to back down to an opponent, he make sure he lets you know he's there. A Veteren goalie with an edge, thats usually a good thing in this league.

Garrett Rockafellow, spent last season with the KIJHL powerhouse, Revelstoke Grizzlies under the guidence of former Victoria head coach, Rylan Ferster. Garrett, put up some very good numbers in what is known as one of the strongest Jnr B leagues in the Canada.
Rockafellow, looked like the stand out goalie at camp and seemed to really want it from the moment he arrived at Bear Mountain Arena. As a young, fast, agile goalie we look forward to seeing Garrett make the jump to Junior A in a Grizzlies Uniform.
