Victoria - Trenton Golden Hawks Connection

Recently acquired Brad Gehl is in good company as far as previous trades from the Trenton G-Hawks to the the shores of Victoria  go. Gehl, comes with some real credentials. He was the Trenton captain last season and standing at 6'1'' he is an experinaced big bodied forward who put up 46 points in 34 games for the G-Hawks. With his experiance and presence the Grizzlies may have picked up another gem from Trenton.
Here are Gehl's stats for 2010/11:

2010-2011 Trenton Golden Hawks OJHL 34 22 24 46 55
The stats are from the eliteprospects.com site.

Two seasons ago, Brad Pawlowski burst onto the BCHL scene with the Grizz and became a firm fan favorite with his hard-nosed/no-nonsense approach. The fact that he could be a leader on the ice and put up good numbers even for an offensive D-man made him fun to watch. At 6'3', 210 pounds, 'Paws" as he became known, was classed as goon at times from opponents. The arguement can be made quite easily, that very few goons put up 40pts in 47 games and Paws was fun to watch!!!!

Towards the end of last season, another Vic-Trenton trade brought Taylor Pernerowski to the Grizzlies at the trade deadline last season. Taylor, at 5'8'isn't the biggest D-man you'll see on the ice, but, he has the ability to play both ends; take and give a hit and went on to score some clutch goals in the regular season and playoffs for the Grizz. Look for Taylor to be a leader on the ice this season.
